London’s new temporary pop-up shelters for the city’s homeless near McMahen Park officially opened Wednesday night.

Sarah Campbell, executive director of the Ark Aid Street Mission, says the word went out quickly.

“Outreach workers around the city were able to approach people with a simple message, you’ve been selected to have a warm indoor space for tonight, how can we help you get there?”
