City of Windsor takes over Howard Avenue motel to house homeless people with COVID-19
The City of Windsor has taken over a local motel to house and isolate the growing number of homeless people with COVID-19.
The plan means homeless individuals and those “in transition” who were already living in the motel on short and medium term tenancies will be displaced.
The city has booked all 29 rooms at the iCheck Inn Motel on Howard Avenue.
