Kim Marshall wants Ontario’s politicians to tell her what they think the rights of disabled people are.
“Are we entitled to have a telephone? Are we entitled to eat outside of a food bank?” the Scarborough woman asked last week during a gathering of people on the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP).
And if people on the ODSP are entitled to these things, Marshall would like to ask the politicians: “Do you know how much that costs?”
For years, people getting by on ODSP benefits have insisted it’s almost impossible for them to afford life in Toronto.
