The Alliance to End Homelessness is working with the City of Ottawa and the Eastern Ontario Landlord Organization to connect landlords with tenants who need somewhere to live. They announced their housing “blitz” on Monday.

“We’re putting our name on the line. The city is being brave in doing that. The Alliance is brave in doing that. Service providers are stepping up and trying to make this work in a very fast timeline,” Burkholder Harris said.

“What if this doesn’t work out? We’re certainly afraid of that. But we’re also equally motivated by the thought of, what if it does work out and people are able to find homes?”
